Dr Helen Savage is a highly respected wine writer and educator. She has been running wine courses for over twenty five years and holidays for over twenty years. She is a member of the Association of Wine Educators, which sets the highest standards in wine education in the UK and an increasing number of other countries. She is also a much-respected wine writer. She has just been short-listed for the second year running for a prestigious Louis Roederer International Wine Writers- Award for her popular column in the Newcastle Journal. Her new book on French wine will be published in the New Year. She is also, again, a national finalist in the Champagne Ambassador's Award - organised by the Champagne Industry for wine educators. Her passion for wine and her determination to find the brightest most innovative winemakers is indefatigable.

Elizabeth Brown is Vine Visit Ltd's Administrator in Chief. She was born and brought up in Tynemouth, where she still lives. An almost life-long member of the NSPCC, she's now Chairman of the Northern Area Forum. Holy Saviour's Parish Church also plays an important part in her life - she's been part-time administrator there for eight years. She admits that "most of my time is spent running about caring for people," and in the time that's left her passion is cooking - especially for her much-loved family. She's also very fond of champagne - about which she knows more than most.
